Pengertian dari Resensi .
Resensi adalah tulisan yang menjelaskan kelebihan dan kekurangan sebuah karya baik yang berupa buku maupun yang berupa karya seni. Tulisan ini biasanya dimuat di media cetak seperti koran, majalah, atau tabloid. Dilihat dari segi isinya terdapat berbagai macam resensi, antara lain resensi buku, resensi novel, resensi buku kumpulan cerpen, resensi film, resensi, patung, dan sebagainya.

Tujuan ditulisnya sebuah resensi .Resensi dimaksudkan untuk memberikan gambaran kepada pembaca tentang sebuah karya sehingga pembaca mengetahui apakah karya yang diresensi itu merupakan karya yang bermutu atau tidak. Resensi akan sangat bermanfaat apabila karya yang diresensi relatif masih baru. Semakin baru karya yang diresensi, semakin baik. Hal itu dimaksudkan agar pembaca segera mengetahui apakah karya itu layak untuk dinikmati atau tidak..

Unsur-unsur dalam resensi .Sekurang-kurangnya dalam resensi terdapat hal-hal berikut ini:

• Judul resensi
• Identitas karya (buku) yang diresensi
• Uraian tentang jenis karya yang diresensi
• Uraian tentang kelebihan dan kekurangan karya yang diresensi
• Kesimpulan yang berisi penegasan kembali mengenai layak tidaknya karya tersebut untuk dinikmati oleh pembaca.

  Campur tangan ibu Budiman dengan bantuan opo-opo (guna-guna) membuat budiman lupa akan perbuatannya terhadap Nunuk, bahkan melupakan Nunuk, gadis yang dicintainya. Sebagai anak orang kaya, Budiman melanjutkan sekolah di Perancis, tetap dengan gaya anak pejabat yang lebih suka menghabis-habiskan uang daripada menggali ilmu pengetahuan yang bisa diperolehnya di sana.
  Sementara Nunuk yang punya keluarga di Belanda diceritakan memutuskan untuk membawa anaknya yang baru lahir dan tinggal bersama keluarga ibunya di Belanda, melanjutkan sekolah di sana. Pertemuannya dengan seorang pencari bakat turunan Turki membawanya berkelana mencari pengalaman baru di Paris, Perancis. Kisah yang juga sama dengan pencari TKW yang mengajak perempuan desa ke kota, ataupun ke luar negeri dengan janji pekerjaan demi kehidupan yang lebih baik.
  Jalan cerita selanjutnya tidak terlalu sulit untuk ditebak. Kepintaran Nunuk membawanya menjadi bintang di Boulevard de Clichy dengan julukan Météore de Java. Tutur cerita yang secara detil menggambarkan situasi Boulevard de Clichy, maupun gambaran detil perilaku pelakon cerita serta perasaan-perasaan mereka, menjadi daya tarik utama dari novel-novel karangan Remy Sylado.
  Sayangnya, akhir cerita yang terkesan terburu-buru dan terlalu dipaksakan membuat kekuatan cerita menjadi berkurang. Cerita Budiman dan Nunuk yang kembali lagi ke tanah air dan bertemu kembali setelah terpisah selama 5 tahun ternyata tidak dikisahkan sedetil dan seindah novel di bagian awal. Akhir cerita lebih berwarna "fairy tale", seperti kisah putri upik abu yang disunting pangeran kaya-raya.
  Memang ini bukan kisah seribu satu malam, atau HC Andersen yang selalu mengatakan bahwa kejujuran dan kebaikan akan selalu menang dan juga bahwa kemenangan dan kemuliaan bersumber dari usaha kerja keras dan penuh pengorbanan. Oleh karena itu, sah-sah saja kalau jalan ceritanya menjadi demikian.
  Membaca bagian akhir buku ini tidak lebih dari sekadar ingin menuntaskan suatu pekerjaan yang sudah terlanjur dimulai, disertai harapan mudah-mudahan novel Remy Sylado berikutnya dapat lebih hidup dan mengasyikkan sampai dengan akhir
  cerita.
